Useful Kitchen Tip#8: Freshness with Vinegar

In everyday food preparation vinegar can be very useful. Here are few examples. Add some vinegar when cooking cauliflower to maintain its white color. The red cabbage will maintain a nice red color with addition of some vinegar. The asparagus will stay fresh longer when wrapped with vinegar water paper towel. Some vinegar added to lentils and beans makes them easier to digest. Important note, vinegar will extend the cooking time; therefore, add it on the very end.
